Responsible party and contact
Crown Courier is the responsible party for information collected through this website. Privacy requests can be sent through the contact page or the Crown Courier WhatsApp link. Please state that the message is for the information officer.
Information we collect
Quotation requests may include your name, mobile number, email address, collection and destination areas, preferred date and the load information you choose to provide. Newsletter records include your name, email address and consent. An unsubscribe request contains the email address to be removed.
Why it is used
Quotation information is used to assess the route, vehicle, handling requirements, availability, price and booking communication. Newsletter information is used only for Crown Courier route, service and moving updates where consent was given.
Analytics and device information
Optional Firebase Analytics and performance measurement load only after you choose “Allow analytics”. These tools may process page, device, interaction and performance information. Crown Courier does not intentionally send names, phone numbers, email addresses, collection addresses or free-text load notes to Analytics.
Lawful handling and minimality
Information is collected for the stated quotation, communication, operational or consented marketing purpose. Do not place identity numbers, bank details, marketplace passwords or unnecessary personal information in the load-details field.
Storage and service providers
Website submissions are stored using Google Firebase services. Access should be limited to people who need the information to manage enquiries, delivery operations, compliance or technical support. Information may be processed outside South Africa subject to the safeguards available through the service provider and Crown Courier’s obligations under applicable law.
Retention
Quotation and operational records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for enquiries, bookings, accounting, dispute handling, legal duties and legitimate business records. Marketing records are retained until consent is withdrawn or the list is retired. Crown Courier should periodically remove records that no longer serve a lawful purpose.
Your choices and rights
You may ask what personal information Crown Courier holds about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, object to certain processing, withdraw marketing consent or lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.
Newsletter withdrawal
Use the unsubscribe form or contact Crown Courier and identify the email address to remove. Please allow up to five business days for manual processing.
Security and changes
Crown Courier uses access rules, restricted form fields, encrypted HTTPS transport and security monitoring intended to reduce unauthorised access. No internet system can promise absolute security. This notice may be updated when website practices or legal requirements change.
